Last Christmas my son's present to me was a half day at the Buck Baker NASCAR racing school. Got to do several laps around Atlanta speedway first with an instructor and then by myself. One of the best times of my life and the best Christmas gift a son could give his Dad.
This next year I would like to attend a road racing school that uses the Z06. I know there are several (Bondurant, Justin Bell, etc) but would like feedback from any forum members on which school is the best in your opinion.
You should check out the Spring Mountain driving school. AND they are a supporting vendor for us!! Just under the Tire Rack banner over here <------ on the left side!!

Spring Mountain will put you behind the seat for more laps than any other school. I put close to 400 miles on my Z06 with the level 1 school. Seat time is what makes you a better driver and is what is fun.
A lot of Corvette clubs and other Marques sponsor track days at Portland and Pacific raceways in Seattle.I have heard about other tracks as well.It is a driving school put on by SCCA drivers and instructors. There are 3 classes and it is only $150 for the day.All you need is a helmet and safety inspected car.Run what you brung.I went 5 times this past year in my Z06 and I don't think I've had more fun with my clothes on. I wish I knew how to post my video.
Highly recommend the Spring Mountain School in Pahrump, Nevada!
Money well spent. Why not wear out someone elses car? They will teach you the skills you need to navigate a track safely, and be a better driver on the street.

I've done Bondurant (years and years ago) once and Skip Barber twice - at Laguna Seca. SB's was much better - although maybe somewhat unfair comparison - two day SB - one day Bondurant.
Plus the absolute best thing about Laguna Seca was the gal that worked the hospitality tent. WOW!!! On a scale of 1-10 she is a 14.
Highly recommend the Spring Mountain School in Pahrump, Nevada!
Did the level I in Oct. Went back for level II in Dec. Can't get enough so probably going back in April. Top Notch you'll learn alot, then hit the track and apply it. Then you'll appreciate how good this car really is!

To those who have attended Spring Mountain and Bondurant, do they allow you to drive the cars with the traction control completely off, or do they make you keep the car in competition driving mode? I want to take the classes, but I don't want to pay to drive their Z06 around neutered. Thanks!
