I have access to 100 octane low lead aviation fuel. If I used this fuel in my '02 ZO6 with no cats, bigger cam and tune, do you think the motor and computer will see much improvement during road racing events. Or do you think I run risk of burning something up.
Back in the day of leaded fuels, aviation gas was the hot ticket, but valves tended to fry. Given today's new metalurgy in valves and the fact that this is a low lead fuel, you still will not be home free. Avoid low lead like the plague.

Hey, DJWorm I hope you reply !
Thanks.
DO NOT use 100LL in your car! It actually contains alot of lead and will trash your 02 sensors quickly. I used this in the past in my '87 GN and wound up replacing 02 sensor more than once. There are place where you can buy 100 octane unleaded sunoco, or you can go to your local lumberyard or paint store and get some toluene or xylene and
make your own octane booster pretty cheaply.
My tuned, H/C car runs pretty decent on the 91 craptane gas
available here thanks to a GREAT FRC Tom tune. I do put a few gallons of 100 unleaded in it when I go to the track to raise the octane a couple of points, maybe it helps maybe it doesn't. Leaded gas however is a BIG no-no. HTH

There is a station in Raritan on Old York Road which sells 100 octane unleaded. I suggest you consider this. I agree with Jim Lembo on putting any gas with any lead into the tank, as you will ruin the O2 sensors.

Yep Jim is right on. 100 unleaded is the way to go if you even need it. Anything above 98 Octane will not help any further with the computer. Your just trying to defeat the knock. Some Union 76 stations sell it as well. Do a search on race gas and you will get some supplier information.

100LL means low lead, not no lead and it contains about 2 grams per gallon.
In addition:
"AvGas has lower volatility so, used in proportions higher than about 40%, part-throttle drivability and cold starts may be compromised. AvGas has a lower specific gravity so it will require a change in air-fuel ratio calibration for the engine to perform at its best. LL100 is blended with a high percentage of aromatics. That reduces throttle response–not really an issue with an aircraft engine but certainly an issue in a high-performance automotive engine."

Hey BW? Why are you looking to run 100 octane at all? What compression ratio are you running for starters? If you're just eliminating your cats, changing the cam, and doing a tune with no head work you're wasting your money. Unless your motor requires the higher octane you will actually loose power by running anything higher than 93 or 94. If I were you I'd seriously think this through.
