BFG DR Tire Pressure?

Making my first trip to the dragstrip, IRP, next Tuesday - weather permitting. Using 345 18 BFG DR's. What tire pressure should I start with? I've read some other posts and saw 15psi recommended for Nitto DR's. Same for BFG?

Any thoughts or personal experience appreciated.

That sounds low. Start at like 19-20 & adjust from there.

I agree. Anything between 18 - 24 psi is a good start. Try different pressures and good luck.

Thanks - I'll start with 20. Driver will probably need more adjustments than the tires.

You don't even know......
Practice, seat time & research here are the best mods sometimes.

I ran my 315 35 17 bfg drag radials as low as 15psi warm.(best 1.50)
My rwhp was between 370-400rwhp at the time. I was launching between 4200 and 5500 depending on track and conditions. Always did big burnouts. I would suspect the 18" inch bfg's would be fine at 15 psi IF you need the traction. Alot depends on the rwhp of your car, burnout, clutch slip, track conditions etc. I would start at 18 psi and work my way down and be sure to record all the data on each and every launch. Check tire pressure after each run and make small changes. Goodluck.

You need to launch higher and don't dump the clutch to avoid bog.
