Bilstien Sport or '04 Sachs Z06 shocks???

My car is my all round fun car w/ a lean toward racing. This past year I ran four HPDE's in the car and 10+ auto-x's for fun. I'm probably going to run another 4-5 HPDE's this year. I also put about 15,000 miles a year on the car in general. Lastly is the budget constraint... I'm not loaded so $900 and up adjustable shocks like HAL's etc are out of the question.

My Z06 has 42,000 miles on it w/ stock 2001 shocks and they're getting worn down... starting to feel alot more bumps and increased ride harshness. It's time to buy new shocks... but which ones?

Bilstiens or Z06's??? I'm hearing more positives on the Bilstiens, I want whichever one will perform the best at the track. I know the Bilstiens are guaranteed for life etc.

Thanks!

Oh yeah.. since the bilstiens are a bit shorter will they make my car sit any lower? It's allready lowered w/ the stock bolts.

Probably best bang for the buck is the '04 specials that have been running.
I would guess on a 2 mile track penske's, koni's, etc.. are still 1-2 seconds quicker but I bet the '04's will pick up your stock 2001 at least 1 second.
I couldn't believe how much better power application is on my '03.

Actually... cost wise the Bilstiens are $299 shipped right now whereas the '04s have gone up in price to over $350 now.

I haven't fully researched this, but I think right now I'd pick the Bilsteins. I believe they will be the best bang for the buck.

Cobra: I have a set of Bilsteins, but I see on another thread that you already sprung for sports. Sorry I'm too late.
