Blue Meanie gets "Quickest Vette" at West Coast Corvette Challenge today...
Just got back from LACR. Wind was blowing 30-50mph, and covering the track with sand. Car was sideways more than it went straight, but still ran 12.184@112.55 and claimed the "Quickest Vette" Trophy out of 20 Corvettes that raced. LACR is 2710' altitude, so it would have been about an 11.7-11.8 @ 116.5'ish at sea level.
It was also the NMMA(?) Motorcycle points race. Some bikes were in the 7's with the 50mph crosswind. Dudes had some BIG Huevos.
I only scored 20 points in Brackets, so I got bumped to 3rd or 4th in the 2003 points race.
It was the National Modified Motorcycle Association? They had about 50 bikes in different classes. Slowest dial-in I saw was 18.45 for a 400cc Honda. Many "drag-only" bikes, but no nitro-burners.
