Yeah. It's all about HP/Weight. The Z's ratio in stock trim is about 0.13. If the M5 weighs in at 4200 Lbs, it'd need almost 550HP to stay even.

Last night, I had some doofus in one of those little Mercedes C230 coupes pull up along side me and goose it, like I was supposed to run him.

Is there any doubt of the outcome? I'm, like, why bother? Get a life, dude!

Yep, that was my experience at the Glen this year too.

He did a nice job countering the slide and then lifted completely; of course he spun the other way, shortening his car by about a foot when he hit the Armco on the inside of the turn.

He was fine and amazingly his car was driveable, not road legal, but the radiator and all the spinning stuff survived; no airbag deployment either. I thought that was strange.
Sounds like you met the guy after the crash?

Yes I did and he had a great attitude about the whole thing. We talked about it (in public), hopefully others would learn from this classic mistake.

He is a very nice guy, he was there with another buddy who shared his ride so the dude didn't have to sit there for the next day and a half - now there's a good freind.
