Brake Pads ...?

I have read thru many posts on brake pads. Most are focused on dust reduction and use of various ceramic pads. While I don't like the dust/mess, I am more concerned with their performance. I must say that I am pretty impressed with the stock pads, particularly for the street. I have been at only one track event with this car, and they worked pretty good there too (for one single data point). In the past (I tracked my mod'ed 85 for 5 years), I have used Performance Friction pads for street and competition for all of my vehicles. They are readily available locally and have lifetime guarantee. Auto Zone typically has a "street" and "track" compound (they may actually use slightly different terms). I use the "street" compound for my other vehicles and the "track" compound for sports cars.

Has anyone here used the PF pads?
How did you like the stopping power (compared to stock)?
How are they for dusting, compared to stock (PF pads ARE typically a dusty pad)?

Thanks to all for any feedback!!

I run the PFC 01 pads for track events. There is absolutely no comparision to stock pads. The PFC's demonstrate very impressive stopping power and absolutely no fade. The do however cover the wheels with dust and lots of it. For track events, this was the best mod I have made.

The PFC's are good. I have tried the Carbotech pads and they are great also.

Unless you are trying to get the last tenths of a second (competition), the stock pads work great for half the price of the others at www.gmpartsdirect.com .
