For those interested in participating in the Tire Rack Cannonball One Lap Of America, two driving schools (minimum, if NOT a previous participant OR blessed with extensive previous racing experience) are required. One "qualifier" will be at BeaveRun in Wampum PA this coming April 2nd and 3rd. Details either through www.beaverun.com or www.onelapofamerica.com
As well, Brock Yates is seeking interested participants and feedback for a new Series to be called the "Cannonball Challenge". More details of this "very interesting" Series are also available in the "What's New" section of the OLOA website, and "comments" can be posted to Brock Jr. in the "Bulletin Board" section of OLOA.
Could be a neat way to race your "outlaw" entry without needless worry of restrictive Sanctioning rules...

Costs for the Challenge are yet to be determined...
THAT, of course, is just an excuse to spend MORE on prep, travel, tires, repairs....go to the Bulletin Board for postings and info for "Lap Puppies", the endearing term used to describe "newbies".

"Veterans", of course, are referred to as "Lap Dogs" and there ARE a few who accurately match the title...
