Carbon Ceramic brakes?

Is it worth the investment to fit carbon ceramic brakes to the c5 or c6 race cars? What are the benefits, even ferrari, porsche, and lamborghini are fitting them to street cars now.

How much more could they be then the other 4 wheel brake kits If your spending $5,000 why not spend $7,000?

I believe the carbon ceramic complete systems run ~15,000 and up... at least from the stuff I've seen in articles. The dealer porsche 911 upgrade I believe is one of the cheapest at around 7,000. Just going off memory so don't quote me.

It adds a considerable additional cost to a regular big brake package.

the option on the ferraris and other cars are ~$15k just because of the names.

Same reason a carbon fiber bumper is $17,000 vs $700 for a corvette.
