I decided to go with Carbontech brake pads this season and it turns out site sponsoring vendor (PFYC) is back ordered. Where else can I get these pads at a decent price?

Maybe I am reading the web sites wrong and someone can set me straight.
PFYC is asking for fronts, XP10 are $185.99 (but out of stock)
At Carbontech's web site fronts, XP10 are $339
What am I missing?
Tom,
I think you are looking at the 2006 Z06 pricing line. Look one line up where it says Corvette-all and I think that is the line that applies to the C5 and C5 Z06.

Ugg! Thanks Brad. I clearly need to get more sleep tonight!
And Oh BTW, I've been testing the XP12s and they are just slightly better than the 11s - very agressive. I also tested a new compound Larry is working on, but the verdict is still out (secret) on those just yet. Stay tuned!!!

Leslie, i may have bought the last XP10 fronts at PFYC. They were showing BACK ORDERED, so i sent an email to Brian. he replied back that they were in stock now...someone must have had them in their cart, then dumped it!!
I am ready to rock this weekend.
My experience has been that if PFYC does not have them, Carbotech does not either, BUT the factory guys can usually get me a set within a couple of days direct from them(same price as Brian at PFYC).
Carbotech's rule......IMO, performance as good as Performance Friction at half the price

ron, would this be for track use? are you a novice? if so, then perhaps they will be fine. Otherwise, I would NOT recommend the Panther Plus at all. I tried the same setup you describe on my first DE. Although the great majority of braking force is on the fronts, i found that the rears gave up about halfway through a session.
Just couldn't handle the heat from consistent, high speed braking for a half hour at a time-again, that was my experience, your mileage may vary.
i went to XP9 front and back, and two years later, I am running R compound tires and just received my XP10's in the mail today for this weekend.
The faster you go, the higher the brake temps get
I used XP9's front a rear for my first full year of DE's, and they were fantastic. No fade, great consistent pedal feel, never let me down.
I have also found that moving up the price scale with Carbotechs(panter plus, XP8, XP9, etc), the brakes take a little longer to get into the "zone". i think this is due to the material used to handle extremely high friction temps, they just don't operate as well when cool. some of the highly experienced gear-heads can explain that much better than me, but it is noticable.
