Corvette Challenge this Sat in Englishtown

Who's going? So far, the weather looks good: Saturday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s and lows in the low 40s.


Nice cool weather for racing.


Any takers? I'll have my ET Streets on this weekend... I'm going to rip those old 60' times to shreds.... and my AAA-Plus membership card came in today... if anything happens, I'll have it towed back to my house, swap the slicks off and then call Chevy to bring it to the dealership.

In addtion to the bracket racing we will be running our Vette Doctors Pro 8 race.

We have drivers coming from as far as Florida for this one.

We will see at least 2 and up to 5 8-second Vettes if all show.

Definitely wroth the price of admission to go.

Gates open at 9 so see you there.

I probably won't have enough miles on the new set-up to race (we'll see....might be picking it up on Thursday), so if I go, I'll probably just be a spectator.

How many miles from your home to the track? See, I told you it's enough I'll be breaking in a new clutch on Friday and Saturday. I like to do it slowly, though, so that's why I do it a 1/4 mile at a time.

Z06-Dave, glad you are coming for your first time.

if you are going to just watch
gates open at 9 am.
time trials start around 10 am
Eliminations start around noon, 1pm so you want to get there by then.

If you are going to race you want to be there when the gates open or earlier.
You pay at the gate (tell them you are racing Corvette Challenge)
You fill out a tech card with your name and stuff
tech guy looks at your car
you are ready to go
go in the pits next to the Vettes and meet some of the guys.
we are called up to the staging lanes when they are ready for us.

AFR heads, 4.10 rear, and Excedy dual disc clutch (already have the G5X3 cam). I will also be adding a CCW drag package for some traction. Then, all I'll need to do is find a driver.
