Yes, it likely will be outdated quickly.
Looking at your other post I would think about the following.
A whole bunch of C5 T1 cars will be coming on the market and the new C6 Z06 or even C6 will be about $70k prepped to start for the C6 who knows what the Z06 will be.
This is vs. a used Phoenix Nationally competitive prepped C5 Z06 T1 car for upper 30's low 40's.
Because of the above facts I think all these vette's are going to need some place to play as people buy them so NASA might pick up a bit over the next two years with the VVC.
If it is your first wheel to wheel experience starting cheaper is always better unless you have deep wallets.
To be competitive in T1 plan on a hell of a big investment in tires, parts, etc..
Go to a few SCCA regional events, NASA events,etc.. and talk to folks. You'll get a good idea what things cost, if you like the group,etc.. You might find you like Spec Miata or Amercian Iron even more.. who knows
