This was out at area 51 dragway in Roswell, NM. My car is stock except for short throw, & Nitto 555RII's.
I was told the elevation there was a little over 3,400ft asl, but that the air quality was a little worse. I just don't see how that would play that much of a part in it.
Anyway, one of my questions is, with 108 trap speeds, shouldn't I at least be in the upper 12's, OR is my car accelerating toooooo slow?
This was my best slip.... please tell me where you think my problem is.
First off, you don't say how much track experience, and seat time, you have in your Z06. Low 13's/high 12's are very common in the hands of "relatively" inexperienced drivers.
Your trap speed is down a little, but if you ran your DA and normalized that run you are probably high 12's, around 110 MPH - not bad for a stock 01.
Get that 60' down, I would recommend ET Streets vs drag radials, and watch your shift points (near but don't hit rev limiter) and you will get there.
Good luck and ENJOY!

I had almost identical times, etc. the only time I've been to the strip. Hooking up was the problem. I spun badly in first gear. I guess the trick is to slip the clutch so as to keep traction at maximum. Seems as if you get good traction in first, you are gaining many more mph. I suspect that is where the trap speed would really increase. This would also affect et as well.
Someone on the board told me to concentrate on my run and not worry about the guy next to me. It seems logical that I should be competing with myself rather than the guy in the south lane. I will try that once the weather warms in the spring.

Your car is probably fine. The weather and DA plays a big role as does seat time. So, with more seat time, better launch, shift points, etc, your trap speed and et will improve.
The reason your mph on the second run was not lower is because you got a false high due to excessive wheelspin in the 2nd launch which is indicated by your poor 60' time.
Lower those nittos to 15 psi and do a full burnout. Practice a slight slip of the clutch and those tire should get you in the 1.8 range and lower with practice. They are not great launch tires because of the stiff sidewall but 1.7s are doable.
Goodluck
