Yesterday went drag racing. The event was not to well organize (limited Christmas tree, no finish light, but flag man). Was able to race a fully mod race only BMW M3 and beat the crap out of him by five cars. Then raced a ’95 NSX with 75 shot of nitro. Beat him by 4 cars. Then raced an F-1 body camaro with a stroker engine and blew his doors by 3 cars. Raced him again but this time he opened the bottle and took me by 4 cars.
I was launching at 2,000 RPM, but there was no way to get some good traction until I hit third. And the tail was swinging left and right. But managed to drive through the swinging and did not lift the pedal. Hit the rev limiter a couple of times . Tire pressure was down to 24 lbs. I think it helped a little. Have to get some slicks radials.
I am very proud of my Z, while they were packing there street illegal cars on their trailers, I was turning my A/C and CD on for the drive back home.
