It was back in 1985 when I had a 1978 Buick Skyhawk. Little did I know, it had the wrong size tires on it when I bought it.(I was just 19). All while driving and trying to impress this hot babe, I was racing it up an on ramp (curving to the right) and verbally stated to her (GET THIS) ....."HOW WELL DOES YOUR CAR PERFORM" .....(obviously trying to impress her with some young driving skills after a thunder storm) JUST AS I FINISHED THE "I'M TOO COOL" statement, I lost control of the car and did a full 360 degree spin almost nailing the car against the small curb and a guard rail. Once teh car halted, I could see the fear in her eyes and watched her gasping for air with her hand across her chest as we came to a sudden and violent sideways halt.....Already feeling like a total jackass, I politely asked if she was ok and she fakes a smile and says "Yes..." Like a dog with his tail between his legs, I slowly reversed it, backed up and turned around to go back up the on ramp. (We were facing oncoming traffic)
So what. I lost some cool points. Big deal. But.....If she could only see me now! Hahahahahahaha.....
And if you MUST know.....I can't remember for the life of me if I scored. Sorry guys.....
But thanks for bringing me some great memories.....Ahhhh....."The Good 'ol Days!"

You are a much better driver than I, not to mention you have a lot more faith in your driving than I do in mine. I think your BALLS are probably larger too...much larger!
Great video!!!
The CHiPs would love to see that too......wouldn't that be an interesting discussion....never mind the discussion with the judge and of course the number of points and then there is the impact to insurance.......no thanks.....I would prefer to keep it on the track.....by the way, they teach you the same thing at Bragg Smith driving school....only there isn't any way to get a ticket nor hurt anyone else.......

The chips would love to see it especially me doing it, and if they caught me it would make thier day. Been there done that on the driving school thing got my scca license 12 years ago. I'm gonna do a track day Jan 15 at Thunder hill, they are doing 3/4 grip and the back section is going to be for drifting. I dont think you could ever be a great driver learning how to drive on the track only, and if you did learn you would be really tempted to do some stuff driving around town because you know you can do it without crashing. Im not about to wrap my new zo6!!
sorry man I'm a lost cause I'll probably drive like that till I'm old and my reflexes are shot. How many other vette drivers here do something illegal everytime you drive your car??
Nice driving! I like doing some drifting myself, haven't attempted anything as extreme as that onramp video though.
What tires are you on?
right now I have some kumho v 700's on the front and goodyears street's on the back. I'm planning on getting 2 more 18x10.5's and run the 305-30-18 kumho's all the way around. It's amazing how good the car hangs lowered a bit with some sticky race tires.
