I have the Z06 featured earlier this year in GM High Tech magazine that was modified by SLP. They put in a .558/.228 cam with 112 degree lobe seperation, long tube headers, balance tube,cats,h-pipe into stock mufflers. Blackwing intake filter with smooth bellows. Best it ran all day was 12.3 @114.68 MPH. Doesnt this sound like stock times? Any comments?

Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid...John Wayne.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
That could be right if you spinning them.Without drag radials or slicks Etown is a tough track to hook on.At one of those corvette challanges in the summer, no stock cars with f1's were even breaking 13. Try and go to e-town on Sat oct 11 and you'll get that ironed out. Now, your car with bfg, on a good track, cold day,you could be looking at a mid 11's. And most of all practice, get used to that car.

What rpm do you launch at? What rpm do you shift at? Your trap speed seems really low. Nearly stock I was trapping 115-116 mph at E-town last week. Considering your mods, you definitely need sticky tires. F1s are not meant for the drag strip. I was very frustrated with them and solved the issue by going with the BFG drag radials. Cut my 60' times significantly. You'll see your times impove drastically with the BFGs. At least I did.
Let me know next time you're planning to go to E-town. I'm usually there.

Get that car to a dyno, and also do some AUtoTap logs and report back. 114 is about stock HP with tuning the IAT retard out.
Launch traction doesnt effect MPH much, and your 1.9 60' is great on street tires. If you are shifting high enough (a cam will want you to spin higher), it sounds like you have tuning issues.
Hi, thanks for all the responses. SLP did the dyno tuning and reported the horsepower at the rear wheels to be 420 at 6000 rpm. I am shifting at 6000 rpm and launching at between 2500- 3000 RPM. It spins a lot at 3000 and the 12.3 time was bogging it a little off the line without spinning. I also road race the car and it never seems as though I can pull away from other Z06's. I've wondered if the dyno results are flawed and the car isn't making the power its alledged to be making. I am curious if the cam and modifications are supposed to make the power or not.
Originally posted by mbenza wow, that seems like a lot, i think my rev limiter is around 6400 RPM
The rev limiter is set higher unless your tuner set it lower for whatever reason. With a stock motor I shift at 6500 rpm. Have your tuner set the rev limiter higher and as indicated above shift around 6800-7000.
Trust me on this. Shifting at 6000 drops you out of the powerband on the shift. You want the RPM to NEVER be below 4500 after the launch. And on street tires, you will get your best ET's by bogging. It transfers weight onto the rear and allows more traction.
