I am probably heading down to E-Town tonight (4/30). Anybody else going down?

Thanks. I didn't do nearly as well as I would have liked. In fact, I was a tad slower than my run last October, which was before I installed headers, high-flow cats and x-pipe, a 160 degree t-stat and had LS-1 edit. It was a bit cooler in October (55 degrees vs. 72 degrees), but not enough to make a big difference.

My 60 foot times are still crappy at 2.2X, but the track was better than I can remember it being for a long while (at least the left lane was), so I can't really blame the track for my poor times. Getting rid of the F1's would help, but I'm still not where I should be.

The biggest head scratcher for me is that I was still trapping in the 112-113 mph range, just as I was 25 rwhp ago in October. I consider myself to be better than most at granny shifting, and hate to think that I have to power shift this car to get into the low 12's. I tried power-shifting the 3-4 shift in the right lane and had to back off because the tail end started to wiggle a bit more than I like at 85 plus MPH.

If any of you hotshoes want to run my car for me on F1's to see if the "problem" is me, please let me know.

Lorenzo, dont get discouraged. Your doing fine. Its hard to hook at etown with f1's. You need seat time and maybe some drag radials. You may need to heat the f1's up a little more and lower the tire pressure some more as well. Alot has to do with shifting. If your real smooth then the tail should not get squirly. You don't have to powershift either. Your times will suffer at etown on a hot day. It's not you. I'll meet you down some night and see how your running and maybe gets some video. Keep practicing.

Dont be so hard on your self. Try lowering the tire pressure to like 22-24lbs for the track. Also heat those f1 supercars up. I have noticed it has helped me. You dont NEED to POWERSHIFT to get these cars to run low 12s. Just need to get a good 60ft time. Remember if you go from a 2.2 to a 2.0 60 ft you will drop 4 tenths in the 1/4. With these cars its all about getting out of the hole. Maybe one day we can get a few guys to meet up at e town or something

Sounds like a good plan. I'd love to get together with a bunch of our forum members to run one day.

In the meantime, I'll practice.

I've been going for the past several months but find it hard to get poeple to go. You will likely run better times at atco because of better 60' times. Anytime you want to go shoot me a message and I'll try and meet you. I want to take a pass on my nitto 555r2's.
