Well after trying FOREVER I finally came home with not one but 5 11 second slips. The weather here has been hot all summer and today was no better. After using my BFG's i decided try some MT ET STREETS. Well I finally ran a 11.885, heres the breakdown
60ft-1.698
330ft-4.935
1/8 et-7.650
1/8 mph-91.46
1/4 et-11.885
1/4 mph-114.53
My mph was way down and I'm guessing a few things happened. The MT's are taller than my 315/35 BFG's , the weather was hot and humid and I ran against a 20mph headwind. I'll be next week after next form my 11.70.

Great runs, vortech. Congratulations on not just 11s, but 11.8x!! And this before the cool weather starts.
You will definitely run better ETs on slicks than on drag radial. And they will be much more consistent on the 60's and on hooking on the shifts to 2d and 3d, all big contributors to low ETs.
So stay on the MTs, unless you want to keep the original clutch. As a buddy of mine says, "Oh yea, there is that."
It is not unreasonable to simply view the Corvette clutch as an expendable item that will fail within a certain number of drag strip passes.
Thanks guys. Well i've come to the conclusion that this car is awesome but even awesome cars break. If the clutch fails so be it, if the output shafts go-no prob. If u want serious#'s then something eventually has to go. I was dumbfounded by the loss in mph, my eight mph was only off by say .5 so that wouldn't equate to a 4mph drop. I think i'm finally going to get a cold air aftermarket setup. It has to work better than stock-it has to. Yesterday though i pulled out my Holley filter and boy was it full of crud. There was more dirt and dead bugs in the year then I could of imagined. The ET streets work awesome, there were no race cars at the track so the track had little to no prep. I started out at 16 psi with a 4 grand launch. This netted my a string of low 1.7 sixty foots. After I got used to the car wandering on the top end i dropped the pressure to 12psi and raised the launch to 5 grand and this gave me my sub 1.7 sixty foots. Does anybody know if 16" rims fit the front of these cars-i want to bolt on a set of skinnies.
The taller tire + 20mph headwind killed your top-end trap speed. Getting rid of the headwind alone will give you 2mph back, I'm sure, no matter the heat. A headwind doesn't affect 1/8mile traps like it does 1/4 mile traps.
This is all just based on my experience at the track under different conditions over the last decade.

WA 2 FST ,I'm 90% sure that headwind robbed me of some mph. I'm a freak about mph-I love to see big #'s out this car and when I don't I start freeking. I think I'm going to go with the Vortex like u have-it looks better and it has to work better-I think I'll just use ur maft settings with the 30's as a baseline but start of with say -6 on the wot and work from there. Have u been back to the track since u got ur 30's and vortex setup? And what about the Juice, I'll bet they'll send u home packing after ur first run.
