finally 11's

we got some decent weather for a change (65 degrees) and my clutch held up for this run:

60ft.... 1.788
330.... 5.064
1/8..... 7.725
mph... 93.20
1000.. 10.015
1/4.... 11.945
mph... 116.92

Not sure what the deal is on the clutches, but I've yet to make a trip out to the drags where it isn't feeling like mush on at least one pass. I even changed the mc fluid last night.

Oh well, it made it for that run at least.

mods are in sig besides some 17" 275/40 BFGs.

I found the clutch does not like the power shifting on back to back runs. I missed a shift or two after trying to take two or more back to back runs. If I let the car sit for 10-15min I could power shift again without problems.

Congratulations, BLU-BY-U. Nice run.

Regarding your clutch, might suggest you read the current thread on the PitRow board about clutch fluid. To get the remedial and preventative effect, you need to change the fluid on a regular basis.

I've made four hot-lap passes in 15 minutes all with strong shifts and my clutch pedal remains normal. Ditto, 12 passes in three hours. But I change the MC reservoir fluid weekly and AGAIN a day or two afterr racing.

Congrats....

It was good talking with you. I am glad at least someone was able to have some luck at the track. I know I have been cursed lately...

Congrats buddy! All this talk about clutch's and sticking pedals is making me nervous. I have over 100 passes on my car now and at least 30 with ET streets and 4-5000 rpm launches. So far I have had no trouble with the clutch " knock on wood" . I do change the fluid everyweekend and after every session at the track. I am looking at clutch options for the Z bu that's like letting ur girlfriend go shopping-there are so many options and clutches to choose from. Have u looked at anything yet?

Great times! Congrats on your driving too. It takes the right car along with driver's skill to do 11's!
