So I spent the morning grinding down my a-arms so the 16" Camaro wheels and ET Streets would fit on the car, and drove out to Hallsville to see if I could run some mid-11's...get out there and the wheels don't fit on the damn car...
So I roll up on my nice 18" Eagle F1 street tires...whoopty freakin' do...a few crappy passes in the left lane but some 123.50 mph runs...
Then I jump over to the right lane, which is actually prepped worth a damn and hooking nicely...
1/8 - 7.76/99.46 ( )
1/4 - 11.75/123.50 (no MPH in the 1/4 in the good lane, most likely is in the 125 mph range)
I suppose with the ET Streets on there, and conservatively cutting a 1.7x 60', I could have run some 11.3's or so, but I can't argue with 11.7's on 18" street tires up at 35psi...

Yessir...closest we can all figure the traps on those 11.8/11.7 runs was in the 127 range. Everyone in the stands was sayin', "He HAS to have a bottle on that!"
Until another Z06 with the EXACT same setup came out there and ran within 1/100th of a second and 1mph of me...
I offered to dismantle my entire induction system right there to disprove any N2O doubters...but I guess they all realized it was pretty legit.
RC45 - you could do it in Houston. In fact anyhting is ok. Now that we have stricter emissions All they require is hooking up to the OBD computer No more sniff test. So as long as your car is tuned and not throwing codes you can do anything.

It's the same up here, OBD-II cars just get hooked up to the computer and scanned for codes...in ALL areas, though, they require a visual inspection for cats...I'm sure I don't have to mention how many shops out there will "see cats" for a 12 pack on the front seat when you drive in though...
Sorry TAMU. I thought it was only Dallas/Houston/San Antonio/Austin that had the stricter emissions controls. I though the rest of Texas was still a sniff test.
Anyway, congrats on the new hot times. Get those tires on quick. I want to see what this beast does.
