Haven't got to tangle with a Viper since the fest. Was kinda worried about a 'close encounter' since I'm losing power on the top end due to belt slippage.
Well, no problem on the low end as a new red Snake found out this evening.
Coming onto the interstate at about 45 mph, he rolls up beside me and honks 3 times. I assume that's the go sign because he took off. We had a good 1/4 to 1/2 a mile before any traffic so off I went. Slammed it a little hard at first and had major tire spin before I hooked.
Long story short, I had him by about 6 or 7 car lengths before we were both slowed by traffic.
Not sure but I think it was somebodys kid (looked to be between 19 and 21 yrs old) taking Dad's car out for a spin. I gave a friendly wave when I slowed down but he got pissed and took off on the next exit.
Oh, well.
OK, you can put a little snake just below yer driver's side window. Nice job, Mike. It's always nice to let them do the eggin on, but it's a real good feelin when they get their butts handed to them and they get all bent outta shape cause they thought they were supposed to do the woopin!

Well, all Vipers are fast and this was a brand new one, I think. He stomped on it after his third honk and I had a little catching up to do. I never take these cars lightly, even with my mods. 1/2 mile goes pretty quick in these cars.
Thanks Frank, Dust, Ross, Dave, Kathy,2K and Wingnut. Doesn't seem like I get many opportunities to 'play' except at the track (and, of course, BG ).
Is it just me, or does it always seem that the cars that want to play are either Mustang GT's (I usually don't even bother) or the guy picks a bad spot to play games (like high traffic areas)?
You have to really savor the chances you get against fast cars in favorable circumstances

It's kinda too bad that your Z is widely known down there. Scares off the 'victims' a bit, doesn't it?
There's two videos I would like to see some day......one, of some guys face that decides to have a go at you not knowing what you've got and the second is my 9.99 1/4 mile (hopefully )
