Well, Today was opening day here at the track near me. I drove my freshly washed red Z06 down to the track with some buddys. They were driving these cars, 2000 WS6 trans am, 2001 SS Camaro, 2001 Corvette coupe and my cousin in his 12 second VW Golf. All were 6 speed/5 spd VW. Anyways, I wasnt going to run. I took the video camera and video all them, because I just didnt really want to. Anyways I ran 3 passes heres how they break down..
1st pass 13.06@114mph-spun bad, real bad
2nd pass 12.79@110-hooked really well after they treated the launch area.
3rd pass 12.59@110mph-hooking really well again.
I left the tires at 30ps, stock F1s. No burnout, no dropping clutch. Traction control off. Launching very easy, as if taking off at a light and hammer down from then. Just thought that I would share my racing today, I am now hooked! These cars are great. And I am happy with my beginner skills, completely stock car and 30psi. Have a good one!

Ditto on the runs!! I hope I run that well....I've never ran a standard at the track, just autos so I hope I do well...I guess we will find out on race day
What I dont understand though is why I ran the 114mph trap speed the first time, and just 110mph the other two passes. The first time it spun really bad, and the second and third passes were hooking well. Does this play a role in the speeds? The car felt VERY strong on the top end. I had no idea that I would be able to muster what I did out of it. With NO burnouts NO lowering psi in the tires, NO extreme slipping of clutch.....Those of you who havent ran your cars, RUN THEM!! Its a BLAST
