First Mustang Kill

I guess I never fully realized how much faster my car is than a Mustang GT until today. I lined up at a stoplight next to a kid with a hot looking black GT. He wanted to race so I let her loose and saw nothing but black in my mirror through two gears and then coasted into his lane. He sped past me with his thumb sticking up out the window. He kept gesturing thumbs up for two blocks. Boy was he impressed.

Great work. Looks like he was a good sport. When you beat them around here, they flip you off half the time.

Good story, congrats on the voctory. Good to hear the kid was a good sport too. You may of just turned him into a future vette owner, now that he knows what these things do. He's probably putting the Z06 poster on his wall right now in his room

I have a flip side of that story.

I spend at lot of time on the Road Course at Texas World Speedway. I have promised my son if he gets a high enought GPA I would rent him a Mustang and he could go out. Having him running the Z06 was out of the question.


Well the kid ends up passing a Viper and a Z06 in his run group in a 6 cylinder Hertz Mustang.

So on the Road Course it is the driver not the car.

Shame on you for picking on a GT Mustang It sure is fun I can beat those guys with my doolly. Did I mention it has 450 HP Sounds like the kid was a good sport.

Even the SVT Cobra is no challenge....After being messed with on the interstate and finally giving in,I harangued him for 20 miles. At one point from 60mph and me behind,I was "goosing" him in the ass(speeding up and slowing down) to well past 110....this was an '00,I believe,very new,at any rate. Finally he made a run on me from behind and hit the nitrous at about 100 with me in 6th....by the time I quit grinding 5th (or reverse,I don't know which)...he was gone. I think he was used to messing with regular vettes.
