My first time out (ever driving anything) was last Friday at Northeast Forum Dragday at Lebanon Valley. I'm happy to report that I beat every Mustang and Supra I raced with the exception of a 700hp Supra. Here were the best of my runs:
I had a couple 13s but they were due to F-Ups on my part shifting. I need to buy some gloves. All I've done to my car performance-wise is a T-1 Composite and lowered to factory limits. I ran 30 lbs in the back and left the fronts at 33 lbs.
I drove around the water and just did a little burnout to clean the tires. I had the stock F1s on. I'm pretty happy for my first time. I met some of PowerShifter's friends there from the Bay State Corvette Club who gave me some pointers. I'm happy with my times, especially since it got up around 90 degrees, no clouds, and was very humid. By the time I figured out how to launch (apx. 2800, dump clutch) it was already afternoon so I know I could've easily broke 12.4. There was another newbie there in a Quicksilver 2002 who ran a 12.5 early in the day. I pointed him towards z06vette.com.

Great times for a newbie! Actually they are really good times... That's quite a few runs in one day... I'd be lucky to get more than 4. Keep the good times rollin'!
Nice runs, Jeremy! Watchin the pros (like anything else) it looks easy. But there are skills that arew needed to be developed. I'd be happy if I could run in the 12's. I'll have to make it this fall, but I also think it's during the Z06fest. I'll be in Lee this week, putting a deck onto my parents house, so email me your phone # & I'll email my parents.

Thanks Guys. 20 runs total over 3 1/2 hours. I got the runs because there was a 70 car limit and a lot of the guys were taking breaks between runs. It was $65 for the 10:30 - 4:00 session. I decided I chewed up enough tire and left at 2:00. I'm really hooked on it now.
I think they had stick'em on the track or something. All I know is that I had melted rubber attached to my car that still hasn't all worn off. I have a billion little pebbles stuck to the tread of my rear tires too.
Great runs. My first time out (with the Z06) I was able to go a best of 12.82 w/ a 2.0 60 foot time. Keeping in mind it was 94 degrees out and when I lined up my car was running 230 degrees, I was pretty happy.
