First time to track

I got out to HRP this afternoon. Wasn't the greatest of conditions. This was my first time ever to a dragstrip so I was a little nerved. Anyway, first run I blew the launch(got sideways and had to lift considerably) and ran a time more hideous than any time I have ever seen posted....so why post it. My second run went a lot better but when I went to pick up my slip, they said all the equipment past the 1/8 marker went inop and only generated data up to the 1/8 mile point. Below is the data. What would y'all estimate the 1/4 mile times to be based on this data?

60'...2.1
330...5.433
1/8....8.191@92.9mph(.8 quicker than my first run!!!)

Stock car with stock SC's.

Looks like you had quite a run going. It will be interesting to see the qualified drag racers summarize their thoughts on your run.

I can't even guess on ET for that one sorry. The ET & MPH are to different from the norm. With the MPH you where flying

I would be guess the MPH would be 118 or so

Take your 1/8 mile and multiply by 1.53 you'll see around a 12.5. Look at some of the other slips posted, and you can kind of see where it falls. With a 2.1 60' I would suspect you would be in the 12.5s though.

Here is a copy of my first pass in my car. Left just off idle (1100-1200rpm @ HRP )...

First Pass

60' ... 2.159
330 ... 5.610
1/8 ... 8.355
MPH ... 90.69
1000 ... 10.716
1/4 ... 12.716
MPH ... 111.41

Thanks, J-rod. That is right about where I figured. If I were to just subtract my improvement(.85 seconds) from my first hideous run, that is right where it would be. A little simple math would tell just how bad my first one was. So, I will be ready for a little redemption next time the weather is decent. Hope to see ya out there.

What is impressive is your 1/8 MPH. 93 MPH can get you mid-to-high 11 with traction. As so as I start hitting 91 MPH, I am running <12.0 with a killer launch.

800' density altitude with a 2.05 60', 8.13@92.2 1/8th, resulted in a 12.42 @ 114.93. bone stock with the filter cover removed and 22# in the rears.
