First time at the track with my 04 Z

This was probably the fifth time I've ran a stick shift car at the track so I'm fairly happy with the results. My mods are a Vararam and Borla Stingers, nothing else. I ran 4 times with my best being a 12.25 at 117 MPH. I did hit 118 MPH one run but my time was only a 12.52. My best 60' time was 1.914. My best 1/8th mile was an 8.018 at 91.5 MPH. How do these time sound for street tires? Temp was 58* Humidity was 86 and the Barometer was 30.71. All in all, I'm pretty happy. I think with some more practice, 11's on street tires is definitely possible.

Your times are great! Some practice, abuse the clutch a little and you'll go 11s!

those are really great times. I have a stock Z except for a bullet exhaust and I ran a 12.69 @ 111. It was in 90 degree weather, although.... so, adjusting for the weather, I think those would be very similar time. my 60' time was 1.97 with that run.

i have MT ET street now and I was supposed to run them today, but I am pretty sick and I couldn't go.

Practice those 60' times... I hear that where the ET gets stolen.

If your figures are correct and the Barometer was that high then you had unusually IDEAL weather for racing. That would give a great DA for racing. Combine that with some good driving and your in the low 12's. Nice run on street tires. Check out the timeslips on this forum for some added incentive to go lower.
