g-force drag radials

Hey fellas,

I am wondering how much abuse the stock clutch and rearend will handle with g-force drag radials in an 02 coupe. All responses appreciated. What rpm would you guys launch the car at? Do you think these tires will cause the clutch or rearend to grenade?

thanks

I have these on my mustang. They grab real good. I have the upgraded 8.8 rear axles and never had any problems. I'm sure the vettes rear won't have any problems handling the extra bite.

I know of a 461 rwhp Z06 that broke the pinion gear last Thurs., towed it out to Antivenom's replaced the pinion gear and on Sat. the whole case blew apart.
Moving to Racing.

I am stock with exception to the "Zip tie Mod" and BFG g-force 315/30/18's on the back. Last night, I believe I snapped the output shaft on my final run shifting into 2nd gear.

Yep. Just got the "news". It sheared right at the diff.

Note to self: No more 5000 rpm launches with DR's@18psi and stock motor.
