Going to the drag strip tomorrow

Second time at the track hopping to do better. 13.8 was my best of 4 runs last time. Going to lower my tire pressure, and launch about 2000 rpm.

If you don't know what it means, you probably shouldn't be racing, no offense. Is it a manual or automatic?

HI

Sorry, I thought this thread was about something else...

I was going to complain to the Moderators about the men in drag stripping...

Hi there. Make sure traction control is off and run in COMP mode. Try and do a burnout if you can and set the tires to around 20 psi in rear. If you get the tires hot and the track has some prep, you should be able to launch around 2500-3000 but MUST slip the clutch. Don't fully stomp the gas until the tires bite. Slipping the clutch is letting it out slower than if you just pulled your foot of it(dump). As you release the clutch then you should be squeezing the gas not mashing the pedal. It takes alot of practice. Some wheelspin is fine, just try and prevent bog and your times will drop quickly. Shoot for sub 2.0 second 60' times. Goodluck and practice.

Slipping the clutch is the same as riding the clutch out a little.
Listen to what Rob said above as well.
