A&A Corvette and Halltech Systems dyno the ATI Supercharged LS1 at 561 RWHP @ 5900 RPM. The rev limiter is set at 6700 RPM, but we did this pull without the customer present, so protocal dictated that we not go to redline without his permission. That was 660 HP with 800 RPM to go! Talk about a monster! Andy and Jim now have the facility to dyno tune all C5s on a SuperFlow Load Dyno, for perfect tuning. Andy does the superchargers, Jim does the programming and tuning. We have a Z06 going on the dyno tomorrow, that should make bigger numbers. Jim is on his way to Michigan to meet with Katech's VP to get a twin turbo short block program going, which will allow extreme boost levels for the LS1 or Z06 (Turbo or Supercharged).
Halltech's Twin Turbo-R project hit a snag with over 700 HP (13 PSI boost) fracturing two stock pistons (cast), so the next logical step is to "bulletproof" the bottom end with a Katech C5R crank, rods and billet main caps. Katech Pistons will be dished for 9:1 static compression, and will be made of bulletproof 2618T6 forged aluminum. ARP studs will bring strength to the program, with ported heads, and a mild Competition Cam. 1000 HP will be the result at 18-20 PSI Boost. Believe it!
Great numbers, Jim and Andy! Glad to hear about this and your teaming with Katech! One package I would like to see is one that converts your stock LS6 to a 427, maintaining matching numbers between the VIN and the motor.

That can be done, but the down time is lengthy. It would require disassembly of your engine down to the case, then shipping the case to Katech for sleeving. If you have the time, we have the answer.
The plan is to get set up as Katech's West Coast marketing and sales arm. We will eventually stock a few short blocks ready to go. Katech is so involved in the C5R race program, and now Powertrain R&D that there is no time for retail sales. Hopefully, Halltech can provide this end of their buisness for them. We'll be meeting with them next week.
Thanks for the info. I think if I do supe up my Z that I would want to go NA 427. I would like to keep the stock block in the car for long term collector value. I also collect older vettes, and for them it is very important to have matching numbers. I have a 66 427/450 red/red leather two top roadster with factory 4.11 and side pipes, and a real 1969 L-88 red/black roadster with factory 4.56, big brakes and side pipes. I just love the L-72 and L-88 engines. There is no replacement for displacement, IMO.
I just love the sound of the 427 big block out of side pipes. Do you think it would be possible to put side pipes on a Z? Seems like there'd have to some body work involved.
Anyway, Jim, good luck with your new ventures. If there is a time you'll be at Andy's in Oxnard for sure, let me know and I'd like to come down to meet you guys, since it's only about a 40 minute drive away for me.
Keep up the good work. Special Forces motto: Never Quit.
Jim, I hear you. It sure helps to have a good woman by your side. Hang in there, things are tough all over. Tough times don't last but tough people do. The Katech thing seems like a good deal. I'm sure that you could be of great assistance to them.

Gonna be tough to show that much power on a chassis dyno! I've seen cars with less power than that spin their tires on the rollers! LOL
Good luck, sounds like a lot of fun!

Jim,
I have been following your posts on the TT for some time now.
Looks like an awesome setup.
I have 2 questions:
Can you build the TT with a lower boost say around 8-10 psi for those of us who just want 500-600 hp and still keep the engine together?
Can you get the connectors for the turbo plumbing in red instead of blue?
