Way to go taking a comment out of context.
In my amatuer laymans mind, non-rollcage car equiped with a 5/6 point harness, helmet and HANS device would seem to be the safest option.
...safest option...
...safest option...
...compared to a non-rollcage equipped car and a helmet and 3 point seat belt.
Allow me to repeat his again...
...compared to a non-rollcage equipped car and a helmet and 3 point seat belt.

Uhm -
we all know a roll cage equipped car is the safer - and when coupled with a fire suppresion system, head and neck restraint and full harness is the safest option
We determined that 407 pages and 2301 posts back.
We (at least I) have been discussing what option makes a
non rollcage equiped car safer.
And I have yet to have seen anything posted that supports the theory that
if youdon't have a roll cage why bother with anything else.
So - having determined that is the point under discussion - is it not reasonable to assume that a harness, helmet and neck and head restraint in a
non-rollcage euipped car is saf
er than a 3 point seat belt and helmet only.
I mean, these are legitimate concerns - and to make the statement or assume that nobody uses a roll-cage-less car at a tarckday or HPDE is just silly.
[sarcasm]Of course we already know that those of use without rollcages are doomed to perish in fiery rollover accidents by the dozen - and our harnesses and helmets and HANS devices will be of no use... because of course thats the onyl type of accident that has ever occured at a DE[/sarcasm]
Anyway - I am done with the thread - so much for a great educational discussion.
