The Hardbar harness bar is a very well engineered piece. It does however have one drawback and that is you can't recline the seat all the way back with it installed. Not an issue on the track since we tend to sit more upright, but may be a problem for daily driving. I opted for the Brey-Krause bar and harness clips with Crowe 6-pt harnesses.
I've used the hardbar harness bar and it worked great. Actually I just tooki t out of my car and was planning on putting it up for sale on the forum with the G-Force six point harness. Let me know if your interested.

I sold my Hardbar because of the seat reclining problem since I am tall and needed that extra room. I bought a Crossbar which lets you move the seat all the way back, cost less and comes with a camera mount instead of it being a expensive option.

My setup with the Hardbar was to go with a Simpson Cam-Lock 5 way (V-Type) harness. The Hardbar mounts where the factory shoulder strap bolts were. There is a provided hole to remount the factory shoulder strap on the Hardbar. Thus, I'm able to keep using the factory shoulder & lap belt when on the street. I just leave the Simpson harness behind the seat. For race days, I can bring the harness out front and the factory belt is not in the way. One thing that nobody mentions in their sales literature is that you need to make your own "L-brackets" to mount the lap-belts of the harness. I made 2 brackets that go on top of the RRear & LRear seat mounts. You can't use the factory lap-belt bolts without mangling the plastic housing for the factory lap belts. The shoulder straps were no problem and loop around the Hardbar and they come with a buckle to keep them tight.
The Hardbar is easy to install (just 2 bolts), but you need a very large hex-head allen wrench type socket. Hope this helps, I like mine.

I can still drive it to work!
I installed the Crossbar too, primarily for the camera mount and decent price. I haven't added a harness yet but I'm not convinced the square profile is a good thing.
There are no sharp edges on the Crossbar that would hurt any belt. I think this profile is stronger than a round tube however I don't ever want to get to the point where I have to think about the Crossbar breaking :oo: I think I would break first I have the Sparco six point belt and the Brey-Krause lap point mounts. Like may others I wish we would have had the super sport seats with the belt slots built in.
