heads&cam-12.41@117 mph.....

12.41@117 mph, with a 2.15 60 ft. at Infineon last Wed....

My very first pass,

I didnt lower the tire pressure but they are 555 R2's. Infineon raceway does bracket racing, when I went for a clean pass a few hours later there was a strong headwind, strong enough to push my car backwards off the timing lights..I redlighted and was disqualified, I came back around and tried to fight it with the track officials, they said I shouldve left my e-brake on at the line....

I really dont know if it was the headwind, or if theres an incline still at that track, I heard they had to resurface the track because of a slight incline in the past...

I ran a 12.62@113.5 mph w/ a 2.00 60 ft. in Hawaii with just the vararam, and cat back. Im confident the car has a 12.1-12.2 with a 2.00 60 ft, at a mid 117 mph in it now.

Im impressed with the results, I know of 02 Z owners in Hawaii that were running 12.7's at 110-111 mph stock, and an 01 Z (blackwing, catback) owner that day at Infineon was running 12.7's with a similar 60 ft. at 110 mph, so I think the et and mph reflect the gain of 60 rwhp from the heads, longtubes and cam.

http://www.zo6vette.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85487

Whats also impressive to me is that I had a blown 98 LS1 f-body making 500 rwhp, and I was running low 12's in the high teens with way more hp. My best was a 11.9@119 mph, 3450 lbs.

Not bad

Get those 60' times down and you will be cookin!!

What is the formula? every .1 in the 60ft is .2 in the 1/4?

2.15 60 ft 12.41@117 mph
2.05 60 ft 12.21
1.95 60 ft 12.01
1.85 60 ft 11.81
1.75 60 ft 11.61
1.65 60 ft 11.41

Can someone confirm that? This is just what I have heard.

Be safe

What I used to do was buy one of those cheap wall hangings that has a temp, humidity, and altitude (barometric pressure) dials.
This was for evey track even I could track those variables and go back and reference to one of the multiple programs and adjust for those variables and make comparisons anywhere at anytime.

Otherwise you are shotting in the dark. Also every track is slightly different in grip and sometimes even distance. I know they shouldn't be but sme 1/8 tracks and quarter tracks were very suspect when you looked at times there.

The weather and altitude piece is why everyone has magic runs at MIR. I went there and ran 4 tenths quicker and ran 12.0's in a totally stock 2001 (alright halteck also) where I couldn't bust anything better than a 12.3 anywhere else (VMP, Richmond,etc..)

I am still new and have not been back to the track since my first time out 15 January 2005. This is what I pulled, with a 2000 FRC and only a Vortex Air Rammer. Keep in mind, Tucson is at 3400 feet.

Worst R/T = .527
Best R/T = .014 (No Shyt! And this was my 4th launch)

Worst 60' = 2.33
Best 60' = 2.009

Worst 1/4 Mile = 13.995 (My first launch at 10:26 am)
Best 1/4 Mile = 13.373 (My 6th and last launch)

Slowest MPH = 104.16 (4th Launch)
Fastest MPH = 109.09 (1st Launch)

Nice R/T on your 4th, and mph on your 1st, for a stock LS1!

Yeah my R/T for that first pass at infineon was a .108, I take off on the 2nd amber and got lucky.

Absolutely! I made the mistake of driving through the burnout box getting my tires wet for my 2nd pass and got a 12.56&116 mph in which I had a 2.22 60 ft., .07 more 60 ft. equated to .15 more up top.

Ive always compared my 60 ft. with my final ET and come to the accurate conclusion that for every .1 60 ft. is .2 up top. Thats why Im confident the car has a 12.1-12.2 in it with a 2.00 60 ft. which I think I can get maybe at the track in sacramento, maybe even at Infineon.

I couldnt even make a 3rd pass as stated earlier, I dont like bracket racing and wanna race somewhere in Nor Cal where its Heads Up, if anyone knows where let me know....

You don't have a real aggressive Head/Cam package.. Maybe I do over kill.. But, My car went 2.0 11.80@125mph and 7.42@96.25 All on the stock tires.... These times IMO are driver related 80% and 20 Car.. IMO

Nice run for your 1st pass! It'll take seat time & practice to get it down. There's a lot left in it w/ a head/cam package. Do you know your RWHP?

Wow, thats incredible! Yeah Im making about 410 rwhp...You must be making at least 450? I couldnt go with a really agressive cam 220/224 114 is about all the duration and lsa you can get away with and still pass smog with good tuning here in CA.....

That and the fact that we are limited to 91 octane, with more timing pulled out and 93 theres another 10-20 or so rwhp in it....

It's mph in the 8th on the first pass was 93 mph...It falls on its face in 4th gear, which Is why It has mediocre trap speed in the quarter.....
