High trans temp while on track - ideas?

The trans temp warnings in my buddy's Z06 were going off by the end of the track sessions this past weekend. These aren't races, just driver's ed, but he drives hard. Oil temps almost at 300, and trans temps about 280 or so. Should he worry about this?

Hello Redshift.

My .02 cents, I worry. On the track for me, I let off as soon as my engine oil hits 280 or my trans temp alerts on the DIC.

I plan on solving this problem with the proper coolers soon, have to save a few more pennies first
