Just heard that Michael Andretti is joining Paul Tracy and Dario Franchitti for entry into this year's Indy 500 race. Team Penske has switched from CART to IRL this year, so we should see a great race!

BTW, Corvette will be the pace car again this year!

Anyone planning on attending qualifying/practice, and or the race?

I grew up in Indy and went to the race every year until I moved away in 92. I won't be going this year.... but I will be coming home for the F1 for the 3rd straight year.

Probably do race day, since field is strengthening nicely. Team Green is certainly no slouch. Maybe Michael can actually win & break the Andretti jinx.

Penske blew 'em away 1-2 at last year's 500 & will be the team to beat in full IRL series this year. Arie's back too at the 500!

Zippy, can't believe there is no MIS 500 this year with CART. Been going to Indy since '83 & love the event, but think the MIS 500 for pure champ car racing fun was much better. Bunch of us had been going to Brooklyn for 10+ years. Will miss Giglio's spaghetti combo & the old Budgetel's "breakfast on the knob".
