Laguna Seca Corvette Corral & Road Tour

Corvette Corral Passes may be picked up at the Corvette Corral on Thursday, October 14, 2004. Thursday is "open" access to Laguna Seca and access to the Corral should be no problem.

Corvette Corral Passes will also be available from the Corvette Caravan Captains prior to entering the track.

If you are not arriving with a Corvette Caravan you will be directed to the Wolf Hill Parking Area where Corvette Corral Passes will be distributed and you will then be directed to the Corvette Corral.

For Caravan info please see http://westerncorvettes.com/corral.html

There will also be a C5/C6 Registry Caravan departing from the Best Western Hans Inn, located at 175 Kern Street in Salinas at 7:30 AM on Friday & Saturday. Corral Passes will be distributed at the Best Western at 7:15 AM. Please notify me if you will be caravaning with us from Salinas & will require a Corvette Corral Pass. We must have an accurate count for the Corvette Corral Passes. Please contact Janet Curran forestvu@aol.com

In order to better fit the schedule of the Laguna Seca Corvette Corral, the C5/C6 Registry 17 Mile Drive Cruise has been rescheduled to SUNDAY OCTOBER 17, 2004 at 10:00 AM.

As a special event for this year's ALMS races at Laguna Seca, you are invited to join us for a cruise through Pebble Beach on Sunday October 17, 2004.

We will meet at the Safeway Parking lot, 1212 Forest Avenue in Pacific Grove. As you can see from the map, the meeting point is readily accessible whether coming from Laguna Seca, Pacific Grove, Monterey or Carmel. Map of Safeway, 1212 Forest Ave Pacific Grove, CA by MapQuest

Meeting time is 10:00 AM sharp, so you should plan to leave Laguna Seca at 9:30 AM.

After a brief driver's meeting, we will head out onto Highway 68 for about a half mile and enter Pebble Beach. The gate fee will not be charged to Corvettes in the caravan. The route will follow the coastline through the storied forests, golf courses and mansions built by people like Crocker, Morse, Firestone and the like. This is where Woods won the US open, Eastwood built his home, the Pebble Beach Concours is held and multimillion dollar homes are bought as tear-downs to be replaced by marvels of excess. www.pebblebeach.com Once inside the gates, it is your time to enjoy the view, the people and your Corvette. There are many viewing and photo sites, stop when you wish and enjoy the beauty and the wildlife. If you want to peel off into the shops and Lodge at Pebble Beach, feel free to do so. We will wend our way out through the village of Carmel by the Sea and back to the track. Caravan FRS frequency will be 1 code 0. Please remember we are sharing 17 mile drive with other visitors and local residents during this tour

Bondurant & Guldstrand Grand Marshalls

We are honored to have in attendance one of international road racing's icon, 24-Hours of Le Mans winner, Bob Bondurant will be on-hand to share his many experiences in history setting races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and his continuing contributions to international road racing. He will also share the Grand Marshall spotlight with legendary racing driver Dick Guldstrand as the participating Corvette Corral Corvettes take to the racetrack in Friday's Corvette Parade lap."
