The T1 guys will be in the low 2s...but that's with a T1 kit, sticky tires and great brake pads. For a bone stock Z with the F1 supercar tires on there, I would think anything under 2:30 would be respectable. Low 2:20s would be a good goal I think.
Don't be too concerned about 1 monster lap time though - think consistency and smoothness and learn to drive the car properly. The lap times will come!

A stock c5 Z06 on street tires can run under 2:20 with an experienced driver. I've seen stock Z's with nothing more than R compounds and alignment run mid to low teens.
For comparison, the spec miata lap record is 2:18. A well driven Z will spank a spec miata at a hp track like VIR.
Stock c5z06 with bfg kd's in the 2:17 range...guessing the c6z06 would be in the :10-15 range. For reference, there was a c6z06 that I believe was bone stock in the one-lap of america (started with 200 miles) - he ran a 6:31 for three laps with a standing start. With the start location in a high speed section - estimating 7 seconds lost due to the standing start - puts his average at ~2:09.
For my first time on VIR, I ran mid 2:2x’s on street tires. My second event resulted in 2:19’s on Kumho MX street tires. My 3rd visit to VIR last year resulted in 2:11's on Kumho V710's. I'm stock with a couple of bolt-ons.
from first esses through to oak tree is where most novices lose 5 seconds plus.
Climbing esses can be taken at substantial speed even in stock car. Master that section and rollercoaster out to main straight and youi should be high teens easy.
I think I'm still listed as having the track record...set in August of 03. But, that was with an old engine and especially before the Phoenix guys set up my suspension. Even so, in October of that year, I did a 2:06 with a passenger on old tires.
The next national race is there in August and if I don't get in the low 2s, I'll be very disappointed.
