Monitor Oil temps in Comp mode

I've been told it's best not to exceed 285' F oil temps while on the track. Problem is in Competitive mode you can't monitor oil temps w/o disengaging Comp mode.

I run +1 qt of Mobil 1 (7.5 qts.) on the track...always fresh.

Is there a workaround...or am i unnecessarily obssesed with oil temps?

Thanks.

All you have to do is hit reset and you can use your DIC.

It does not disengage your comp mode

Do this at the track every time, but I sure wish they had put a little light for compmode on the dash, just like they did for "everything off". Sometimes I will be circulating the track and wonder "did I remember to go into comp mode this session?

I've wondered that before as well, but putting the power down out of the first slow speed corner usually answers the question for me.
