My question is, at what point did you hit the nitrous?

What kind of tires are you running?

It is my understanding they don't prep the track for crap for Midnight Mayhem

Put those new ET Streets (with thin sidewall) in 17" on some stock fronts mounted in the rear. You won't spin anymore. You might want to put on the DTE diff brace first, though, 'cause you're gonna hook.

man o war , whats a dte ?

do i still have to do a burn out on those ET tires ?

i tried doing a burn out on the nittos backed it up into the water box and dropped the clutch in second gear and , i must have got the clutch too hot and it would not grab in any gear ,,

it was a rough night in the begining.....

I use the stock fuel pump. I run race gas (110 octane) with the 150 shot. That helps with detonation.

Your time 12.05 is not bad with a stock Z w/100 shot. With a few bolt ons and a good track your times will improve. The launch takes practice.

DTE differential strut brace is at

http://www.dynotech-eng.com/dte_c5_diff_strut.htm

It, along with a better-than-stock clutch is what you're going to need for getting the nitrous torque to the ground. BTW, I was running 11.8sec at 125mph with the TNT 100 shot with intake/exhaust bolt-ons. (Low ET due to use of street tires and poor 60' time).

Those new 17" ET Streets are going to be great. Due to my geography (read "weather"), I haven't gotten to the track yet, but plan to next Friday. I have practiced my launches, though, and they do hook well. A lot of Z owners are going to start using this tire on stock front 17" wheels in place of 16" wheels, I predict.
