Went to the track again last night in quest of the elusive 11 second club. Been trying everything I've learned from people here on the forum and at the track to get in under 12 seconds.
Here is my new best.
12.0023et
117.80 mph
1.82 60 ft
I have been having alot of fun trying to get and 11 second run, but this was a heartbreaker. I didn't get it into 4th smoothly, and I know that was the difference.
Still had a lot of fun. 3GUN was there and he is stuck in the 12.0's with me. We had a lot of laughs.
Given how close you are, change nothing except concentrate on the launch rpm and on the quick clutch release (but not a pop).
Ignore the guy in the other lane. Launch when you are ready. If the RT is 4 seconds, it doesn't matter. Hold exactly the launch rpm you want, and then get the clutch out.
And make sure you get the BFGs good and hot.
You'll pull a 1.7X 60' and the 11 second slip will occur.
Congratulations to JW02 on new best. We're both so close to 11's. I've made three trips to Rivercity with the same results. When the track opens (6:30 pm) the first two runs, approximately 30 minutes, are the best. Then the 60 ft. times get progressively worse on each run. After two hours the track is so slippery it seems dangerous. Wish I knew more about D.A. The temperature was 68 , humidity 55% altitude 610 ft.
JW forgot to mention that he brought his own "hired gun", his son who did a great job behind the wheel, not to mention that he is an up and coming professional golfer that we will all be hearing a lot about soon. Thanks to everyone for your help and encouragement.

Same advice to 3gun.
Best of luck to you both.

jw02,
I posted this suggestion, which I'm not sure you read. You might want to try it.
Ranger, my 60 ft times are getting better but still working on it. 6 passes last night with the following 60ft times. 1.81, 1.84, 1.84, 1.80, 1.88,1.82. I am trying to post this last video right now. There is no bog on the launch, but for me to do this, I feel like I am riding the clutch out a little more than before. Those low 1.8's feel like your launching out of a sling shot. Your comment about the clutch being completely released in the first 4-10ft is not what I am doing. It is taking at least 15-18 ft for the clutch to be fully released. It seems when I let it out faster than that, I bog the car.
