I too have been experimenting launch rpms w/ my '02 Electron Blue. Are you using stock tires and do you feather it or just wait till it grabs good then nail it. My attempts have been on good concrete.

Welcome to the forum
No. We are using ET streets. I can't do the 2 ft shuffle to heat the tires. So I just spin them to get the rocks off. Our track is traction impaired. I think they prep the track with roundup. I just nail it out of the hole
Kathy never raced before, so when I bought a Camaro SS M6, she would stay home while I went racing. Well one time she went with me to watch, and to meet some of our Internet Racing friends in person.
She watched me do a couple of passes, and I asked her to give it a try. She wouldn't. I did another pass, then asked again, she wouldn't. One more, I asked, and she said "Just one, so you'll stop bugging me!!!" She ran a crummy ET, lousy RT, etc. When she came back into lanes, I got ready to switch drivers. She goes, "HELL NO!! You already got MORE PASSES THAN ME!!!"....
Ever since then, she wants to go as often as we can. Hell, she buys most of the parts for the car, and she is the one who picked the Z06, because she thought the SS was too slow...
I'm a cruel hubby, I'm not going to put a linelock on the Z.
I put one on the Camaro for her, but we found that heating ET Streets at our track did not effect the 60's.
Today, I heated 5 passes and "cleaned" 5 passes. Best 60' (fluke) was from cleaning, worst was from heating. But all in all, it doesn't make a difference at a poorly maintained track. Guys were getting 2.1 60's on BFG Drag Radials as a best effort. A modded 03 Cobra only got 2.0 60's on ET Streets. To the best of our knowledge, nobody with a M6 car was cutting better 60's than we were, ET Streets, Nitto's, or BFG's.
I try both ways every time I go out to see what works. If get to a point where heating will drop ET's, I'll try to convince her to learn the "three-foot-shuffle".
The #1 problem with a linelock, is if the dealer sees it, he will know you race the car. Some dealers are cool with it, others aren't.
With the drag radials we used to run, you'd have to torch them. One of the neat things about ET Streets, is that you can get pretty good launches cold.
Congrat's! just think 11's are just around the corner. Heating those tires should help. u should be able to do a burnout without the line lock-it just takes some practise. At the begining of this year even I had a hard time doing a burnout-but practice makes perfect and today it's no prob. Have u tried messing around with different tire pressure and launches rpms. Even on a poor track the ET streets work very well over anything else out there.
