New to Seattle, looking for lapping days

Hi all,
I just got to Seattle and will be here temporary duty until late October. Brought my helmet and the Z06 with me.
Anyone know where I can find an open track day up here in the next few months? Will travel as far as PIR.
Thanks.

The next Track day that I am aware of will be October the 14th at Portland International Raceway (PIR).

It will be hosted by the Rose City Corvette Club in Portland.

I ran at PIR a few weeks ago and it was a kick.

Pat,

I just talked to Rob and Mike today, and they told me they have the track at Pacific Raceways rented for a whole day in Sept. I think it's Sept 23rd (a Monday).

Ask Rob for details.

Thanks for the info. I will be at the get together on the 25th if I can find the place.
Unfortunately, I will be in Hawaii for a week of training the 23rd of Sept. Damn the bad timing.
Anyone have the rose city web site handy?
Thanks.

as well our club has some dates coming up, Sept. 15th at Pacific Raceways with the Porsche Club, and another in October at Mission (near Vancouver, BC). See our club site at PDC

Updated info. I talked to Mike and Rob tonight, and they clarified that the track days are Sept 23rd and 24th in Spokane ... not Pacific Raceways.

Already?

Haven't unpacked yet, and you are already looking to run?
Did you haul your CCWs, etc? Buy a trailer?

Go to www.portlandraceway.com. There you will find that PIR has many track days in the fall.

edit: I have my last SCCA race of the season on Sept. 21 & 22. Any of you guys are welcome to come down and check it out.

A good source of open track days can be found at proformanceraceschool.com. A private school that does offer training or just track days for more experienced drivers. They have both half and full day track days at both Pacific Raceway (SIR) and PIR. Their events are well organized and safely run.

All,
Thanks again for all the great info.

Joe,
What else am I going to do out here as a geo-bach for three months.....wait, sorry, I got distracted thinking about all the things I could be doing. Better stick to the car thing.
Only brought my helmet and seat. The rest is in storage in Memphis.

Z0000006,
What's the dress for these get togethers in the PNW? Jeans and Z06 t-shirt? Dockers and Z06 polo shirt? Or should I wear nomex.
