"No license runs" ????

On a website for a local drag strip, it says "No license runs" for a particular night. After asking the question, "What does this mean?", I get this answer: "No license runs for an NHRA Competition License."

I am really stupid, because I still don't know what the heck we are talking about. Can someone please teach the teacher? (Can someone explain what "No license runs" means to the average person outside the NHRA world?)

Yes I have a driver's license, no I don't have an NHRA license. Can I run?

I think they mean that noone may attempt to attain a NHRA license on that particular night.

Just means less waiting for you in the staging lanes....
