Nomenclature

Sometimes in the posts we get confused.
Sometimes when a statement is made such as:
"I took my car to the track."
OR
"What tires do you recommend for the track?"

Initially, we are not sure what the poster is talking about

Just so we are all on the same page:

STRIP = Drag Strip, Drags, 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile

TRACK = Road Course, Closed Course, T1, SCCA Club Racing, Solo I, Time Trials, HPDE, GT1, World Challenge, ALMS, NASA, Hillclimb, High Speed, Ovals, SCCA Pro Racing

AUTO CROSS = AutoX, Slalom, Solo II, Pro Solo, National Tour, Low Speed, Skid Pad

I find that the synonomous use of track, strip, and course are the most likely culprits.

Yes, I have noticed a little confusion in the titles of threads. The drag strip is not the track, and an autoX course is not a drag strip.

I wonder if anyone else notices?
