With stock tires/wheels and alignment, I've used 40 psi front and rear (hot) and measured temps after hard runs at Thunderhill that showed proper temperature differentials across the tire. The temp readings did show that the stock alignment could be improved wih more negative camber, as the outside edges were the hottest. I've seen other guys run around 30 psi at autocross, but I can't speak to that.
If you are running a DE track day, you'll be fine, but if you have a means of measuring the tire temp after a run, you can tell if you are too light or too heavy on the pressure. You'll want the center of the tread to be between the inner and outer tread temperatures. The closer the temps across the tread, the better, but with stock setup, it won't happen.
