Oil/Cooler - Rad combo differences

Anyone seen both the LG and Ron Davis set-ups. Any pros and cons for each. Prices seam to be about the same.

What about the remote filter mount for the Davis rad. Is this a worthwhile mod, larger filter more capacity, easy to reach, etc.

Thanks

I haven't had either, so can't directly answer your question, but...

I do have the DRM aluminum racing radiator without integrated cooler, which is a Ron Davis product, and it is nice with no quality problems.

I actually had a remote filter setup once on my Z06 before upgrading to SCCA T1 specs which require it to be stock. I used an aeroquip adapter that screwed into the stock oil filter mount, probably what is used for the Ron Davis remote mount, and mounted my filter to the back of the radiator shroud on a spin on adapter. I was able to use a spin on adapter that took a much larger filter than stock. This probably improves oil flow and filtering capacity, but I can't really say by how much. As for changing, I don't think having the filter on the back of the radiator shroud made it any easier or harder to change the filter. I still needed the car off the ground.
