Out Of Control

WENT SAT TO STRIP ,NO MODS ,STOCK TIRES ,RAN 12.70 . ONLY 1000 MI. ON Z .31 PSI ON REAR TIRES ,TEMP WAS 41 DEGREES ,SUNNY . WENT LAST NIGHT , 40 DEGREES ,30 MI HR. WIND , CAME OUT THE SAME EXCEPT I RAN 22 PSI IN REAR .60 FT TIMES WERE THE SAME EXCEPT THE CAR BROKE LOOSE HALF WAY DOWN TRACK ,TRIED 5 RUNS ,EACH TIME IT WAS THE SAME ,I WENT DOWN TO 20 PSI ,NO CHANGE . WAS CONSISTANT AT 13 .0. SOME REGULARS SAID EVERY ONES TIME WAS OFF BECUASE ALL THE KIDS WERE DRAGING WATER UP TO THE LINE . PROBLEM IS THE TEMP. WAS THE SAME ,ONLY DIFFRENCE WAS IT WAS NITE TIME , SHOULD THERE BE 3 TENTHS DIFF.AND LOSS OF CONTROL

My understanding was that a radial might start cupping in the middle of the tread if the pressure was low unlike the old bias ply tires. As goofy as it sound we always went to a good surface road, spun about 10 feet and looked at the contact patch and adjusted the pressure accordingly. It was easy to see an over inflated tire, it got a little tricky on an under inflated one. Food for thought, Mike
