Great set of solo2 posts DJ !
The link mentions blueprinted injectors. I thought blueprinted engine parts were disallowed (and near impossible to prove)?
Other big hitters, not listed in link, for reducing time in Stock class (correct me if I'm wrong):
1) R-compound tires. Any size that fits on rims and does not stick out from fenders when viewed from above.
2) Race alignment. But no adding camber plates or other suspension mount modification. Although you are allowed to use the full range of factory motion. I've heard of people loosening bolts, levering components to their limits, and re-tightening bolts (pursuing, say, maximum camber).
3) Lighter wheels of the same size and offset (tiny change allowance).
4) Improved shocks. Mounting points have to be identical (and a couple of other restrictions) but you can spend thousands of dollars per corner (and some people do).
5) Change front roll (anti-sway) bar only. Not rear.
6) Brake pads and fluid are unlimited. But can't mess with rotors or cylinders.
The list of common things you can't do legally is, sadly, far longer. Such as: ANY computer changes (LS1edit, even for fan temps), thermostat, TB bypass, intake change (only a filter fitting OEM box is allowed, not even a coupler change), rear gear change, shift knob (yep, a weenie protest item to be sure), aero kits (even just a spoiler change), seat modifications (or replacement), headers, cat gutting, updating or backdating (allowed in Street Prepared classes), cams or other headwork.
If the rules don't specifically allow it, then you can't do it. Local groups are usually cool about a few mods (shift knob, radio change, aero kit) if you don't place high in the class anyway. But forget about sliding by at National events. You would not believe some of the protests.
