Well today my buddy brought his yellow jacket Gto over and wanted to run the new vette So we went to a nearby road we usually race on i think it about a mile long and always empty. So we lined up and he started reving his motor and i must say it sounded mean but i knew i had the advantage. So we launched and i was already eating him We shut down at around 145mph and i had two car lengths on him. I must say i thought his car was faster than that untill now. Also he has a m6 and i do too. we stopped back at my house and I was loving the way that thing looked

Yeah - only 2 car lenghts ? Against a Z ? wait you're not talking about a z06 vs a new GTO you're talking your stock '97 against your buddies new GTO - right ? So the 2 car lengths sorta makes sense.
GTO weighs 3800 lbs with 350 hp so we all know it wouldnt even be that close running with a Z06.
I dont know, for 33,000 -- the GTO may have a Corvette drivetrain and thats really cool, but the looks of the car are so bland, man for a few thousand more I'd spring for a like new '02 Z06. Oh wait a second, thats what I did.
The new GOAT is ugly, and heavy. Just slapping a badge on a current production model does not make it a GTO. They should have left it in Australia. Just my .02 yall.
is your car bone stock? was he ahead of you in first and second gear? did you pull the two cars in one gear or gradually over all the gears? do you think he can drive his car well?
