Ran my Z06 in the Corvette Challenge, also ran Viper
The air seemed really bad last night and the MPH on all of my runs was about 3 MPH slower than what I did two weeks ago. It rained in the morning and the air felt like soup in the afternoon. I think a TAG weather station said that the DA was about 1800 feet. My car seemed down on power due to the weather. Others said their cars were off as well. Here is my last run where I broke out and lost. I am in the right lane.
A bunch of us got tired of watching my brother run some really bad times in his GTS Viper so I took the car down the track. This was my first time dragging this car and I took it fairly easy. I am in the right lane, the car in the left is a VW GTI
No doubt that the Viper is making a lot more power than my Z06.
Wow the stock Viper ran 118 and your Z ran 109? That _is_ a big difference.

Brent, I am familiar with your car. My E.Ts. were about the same as 2 weeks ago, but my traps were down by about 3 MPH. This was my second time out with the car and I am getting better at shifting and launching it, but the power was not as good as two weeks ago.
Les, The Viper is not bone stock. It has some minor bolt-ons which include K&N drop-in filters, new air bridges, and a Corsa exhaust. I do not consider these significant mods, but I wanted to mention them. I never dragged the car when it was bone stock, but my brother did. From what I saw I would not say that his mods really made the car turn better times. My Z06 is bone stock
McRat, there is nothing wrong with my car. It recently dynoed at 355 SAE RWHP. Two weeks ago I trapped at 112 my first time out with the car in bad weather conditions. Stock LS1 C5s were trapping at about 106 on that day. This week the air was worse and my car went slower.
One of the EBZ06's there ran a 11.994@112. 1.7 60' (he's a friend of mine). I ran a 12.78@110 with a 1.9 60'. Was the low mph due to the almost 90-100% humidity? Usually a 11.99 is about 117-118mph...was etown slow sat?...

I don't think anything is wrong with the car. Mine did the same. I think the engines are pulling timing out of proportion to what is really needed. 110mph in a 3300lb vehicle is only about 310rwhp.
Air temp and humidity make a difference, but I haven't seen as big a difference on other cars as the LS6 cars. 5-7mph at the same track from 70 to 90 deg? That's a bunch. A LS1 might lose 2-3 mph.
I could be wrong. I'll find out. But something seems odd.
