This is not me.
This was a guy named "Ranger".
I am not "Ranger"
From another board.
I see 10's.
Quote: "Made my inaugural passes in the C6 Z06 today at MIR in Southern Maryland. Air temperatures at race time were in the [mid-40s]; track surface temps were in the low 50s measured by my infrared laser temperature probe.
Traction was decent considering this was opening day and there wasn’t much track rubber lain down.
Here are the splits on my fifth and best pass:
60'........1.847
330'......4.930
660'......7.413 @ 99.80
1000'.....9.526
1320'...11.311 @ 126.92
DA at the time of that run was about negative 400 feet.
I have a lot of room for improvement on the 60’; need to figure out the clutch release and throttle squeeze, which are not the same as on my C5Z.
But today certainly confirmed to me that 10s are possible bone-stock with a little better track conditions and more seat time to get the launch right.
As a point of reference my C5Z06 with 363 rwhp had a best 60’-1320’ pass of 9.85. Today my C6Z06 ran that split in 9.47, and that will improve in the coming 60 days, as will the 60’ time.
My oil temps remained around 120 at the line and the water temps were 216 or above. The best pass was at a water temp of about 195.
I ran 18 psi in the BFG 345.30.18 DRs; 40 psi in the stock fronts and made first pass with a quarter tank of fuel.
Appreciated the support and kind words of a fine group of CF members who made the trip to MIR to root for the home team. Wish I could have made the 11.31 while they were still observing. And I suspect Steve Row will post up with his eye-witness account.
I don't have your driving skills, but I am not bad. What would you think I could turn with the 574 rwhp that I have in an S/C car with 305 Nitto DR's on the rear. Does the fact that it is an S/C car make it more difficult to turn really serious times? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Those are some serious driving skills. Congrats on the awesome first time out. If I had this car it would take me forever to even try to come close to those kind of numbers. I've gotta meet this guy sometime, just so I don't ever accidently line up against him anywhere.
